Good bye 2014, you were incredible!

IMG_6538.JPG

This year was so intense for me, I made big changes (Leave my old apartment and my old work. I’m so happy for accomplish that because involves to learn to leave behind things that I know well and my comfort zone to move forward).
It was challenging first but energizing later… I’m excited about what 2015 can move in me.
My business life was slower that I expect but now I see that it can’t be in other way.
In another hand, I feel that my creative brain expanded and allows me design new models, working with exquisites materials and meet new creative and generous people thanks to social media (I’m thrilled with that!) and enjoy to have friends so supportive that keep my heart working and makes me grow in directions that I’ve never imagine.
Now I want to grow MitiMota, I need to learn more about marketing and administration and figure out how to reach other markets…so if you have ideas please share them with me, I’m open to suggestions and new experiencies.

With all things lived in mind, I just want to celebrate and welcome to this new year.

CoolKnits: Knitted & Crocheted Capes

Fashion trends seem to be cyclical, some clothes comes back time to time, renewing with colors and contemporary techniques while maintaining the spirit of the age that designed it.
This is how I have seen for some time on blogs and social networks, the appearance of knitted capes, no ponchos – with which usually are confused- but the capes, that cover an important part of the body, replacing jackets often and leaving free space to use your hands.
It is a garment that fascinates me personally, because it is elegant, build an outfit by itself, shapes your figure and gives you a vintage look.

Here I share some that I love. What knitted garments do you prefer? Have you ever used a cape? … Maybe it’s time to find one or why not knit one by yourself.

As I’m starting to liven up this blog, I can not think in a better section than PatternLove, a place to share the patterns I find on the web and looks beautiful and simple. The idea is to share patterns relating to one common theme throughout the week. This time we begin with a mix of cowls patterns.

If you have any suggestions or would love to find patterns in any particular garment can me so I put it on my list of publication./

                                                                                ***

For some time one of the most precious  winter accessories are scarves and cowls, but not any but the largest, thick and extra long, allowing wrap gently and add a bold touch to your outfit.

The fantastic thing about cowls and scarves is that you can choose versatile designs, different colors and you can even challenge yourself to knit them.

How do you like scarves? Circular, infinite, fringed, extra thick, long?

If you like, you can see in my shop the models we designed.

******************************************************************

**********************************************************************

With this post I started a blog section that seeks to share my views on trends in the world of fabrics.

One of the articles I’ve seen on most blog, magazines and catwalks during winter season are great sweaters, hand knitted with extra thick wool.
Its textured fabric and large come to save us from the harsh cold. The trend hides a manifest that leaves no room for interpretation: this is the new winter essential that rescues the pleasant comfort dress like we were at home, wrap in a blanket.

We can find versions more casual, relaxed and some more radical. Wich is your favorite?
